Greetings, and welcome to the web site of the Wright State University Astronomy Club! In these pages you will find a wealth of information about our adventures in astronomy, including a list of upcoming activities, observing notes, astronomical events, and links to other astronomy sites. Latest News

  • We will be holding a program/stargaze with the Glen Helen "Rock Star" campers on July 29th.


  • We are scheduled for our monthly public stargaze at our "dark sky" site on July 31st. Please get your vehicle's license plate number to us if you have not done so already.


  • Pat Craig will be giving a program on the summer night sky on August 2nd and one on the fall night sky on October 18th at the Fairborn Community Library, 1 E. Main Street, Fairborn.


  • WSUAC will once again be supporting the Preservation Parks of Delaware County annual "Perseid Campout" event, scheduled this year for August 14th-15th at Blues Creek Preserve, 9627 Fontanelle Road, Ostrander, OH 43061. Admission to the Preservation Parks event is free but registration is required. Contact saundras@preservationparks.com.

    To date, we remain uninvited to the local Perseid event sponsored by Greene County Parks.


  • Our current schedule for Glen Helen public stargazes is: August 6th, September 17th, October 15th, and November 19th.


  • Pat Craig will again be presenting the children's program on the fall sky at the Fairborn Community Library on November 9th (NOTE: this is a revised date!) at 6:30pm. If you would like to help out, please contact us at wsuastronomy@gmail.com for more information.
