Upcoming WSU Astronomy Club Activities!
Summer Quarter 2010 is in progress! Here are just a few of the activities we have planned:
- NEW The next WSUAC public stargaze will be held on August 28th at sunset at our dark sky site in Yellow Springs. Please contact us at wsuastronomy@gmail.com if you would like to attend and have not yet registered your license plate number.
- NEW In commemoration of International Observe the Moon Night on September 18th, Wright State University Astronomy Club will be at Half Price Books in Beavercreek with its 8" reflector telescope to observe the 10-day old Moon and talk to the public about all things lunar. We will be passing out literature on the Moon, recommending good Moon books, doing Moon activities with the kids, and talking about how to best observe and appreciate our nearest neighbor in space regardless of its phase. We hope you will join us!
- Pat Craig will be giving a program on the fall night sky on October 18th at the Fairborn Community Library, 1 E. Main Street, Fairborn.
- Our current schedule for Glen Helen public stargazes is: September 17th, October 15th, and November 19th.
- Pat Craig will again be presenting the children's program on the fall sky at the Fairborn Community Library on November 9th (NOTE: this is a revised date!) at 6:30pm. If you would like to help out, please contact us at wsuastronomy@gmail.com for more information.
