WSU Astronomy Club welcomes Half Price Books to Beavercreek!

WSUAC maintains a small astronomical library, and over 90% of the books we've added have been from either member donations or inexpensive purchases from Half Price Books in Centerville. On August 20th the Centerville location closed its doors and began a move to Beavercreek, just north of the Fairfield Commons Mall at 3310 A Pentagon Boulevard. The grand opening week for the new store began on September 3rd.

Upon visiting the new location, we learned that the store had a mascot, The Book Worm. Having recently completed work on our own mascot, a large, plush replica of a telescope, we decided to find out if the two would like to get together for a photo opportunity. On September 7th we met up with the store manager, Ginny, and the Book Worm and took the pictures below (click to enlarge):

WSUAC would like to thank manager Ginny and the Book Worm for their participation, and we want to encourage everyone in the area to visit Half Price Books on a regular basis, regardless of their reading interests. This store has just about everything a bibliophile could ever want, often at unbelievably low prices!
